I live in a semi-rural area of New Jersey (yes, there still are some!) with my husband, youngest son, dog, and two cats. We also have the pleasure of occasional visits from wild turkeys, foxes, hawks, possums, turtles, frogs, snakes, skunks, turkey buzzards, too many birds to mention, and – when we were catless for a year – rats. I can live with anything but rats! Although my camera isn’t fancy, I enjoy taking pictures of the beauty around me, and I’ll be posting many of them.
Since retiring from a thirty-three-year career as a high school English and history teacher, I’ve been pursuing a career as a writer. My main interest is in writing novels, but I’ve also written short stories and poetry and done some editing on the side. I’m currently working on a Young Adult novel.
While I occasionally read non-fiction, I prefer reading fiction – science fiction and fantasy, historical novels, historical or any romance, mystery, thrillers, and many other things that catch my fancy. Since I’ve been writing, however, I haven’t had as much time for reading. Now, if someone could only figure out a way to add a few more hours to the day…
