Clouds in My Sky — But Little Rain 2012

Clouds brush the blue sky
with designs ever-changing —
infinite beauty

May 25, 3:08 pm

June 2, 3:05 pm

Miracle moisture —
evaporation and rain,
a ceaseless cycle

June 3, 6:01 am

June 3, storm clouds building, 6:15 pm

Stately white schooners
sailing swift across the sky —
ferrying daydreams

June 4, 4:16 pm

June 5, storm clouds, 5:11 pm

Sun-chasing dark clouds
churning, swirling, rushing past —
speaking in thunder

June 7, 7:21 pm

June 22, after the storm, 6:18 pm

Come, sweet summer clouds
fill the sun-scorched sky with fluff —
relief from the heat

June 24, 5:55 pm

June 30, 3:03 pm

Clouds cram the sky beach
basking in the summer heat —
shielding those below

About J. Thomas Ross

Since retiring from a career as a high school English and history teacher, I've been pursuing a career as a writer. My main interest is in writing novels, but I've also written short stories and poetry and done a little editing on the side. I am currently working on a Young Adult novel. One of my poems - "Winter" - won an award at the 2010 Philadelphia Writers Conference, and you can find my fantasy short story "A Rock Is a Rock Is a Rock ... Or Is It?" in the anthology Tales of Fortannis: A Bard's Eye View, which is available in print and Kindle format from Amazon and as an e-book from Double Dragon Press.
