About J. Thomas Ross

Since retiring from a career as a high school English and history teacher, I've been pursuing a career as a writer. My main interest is in writing novels, but I've also written short stories and poetry and done a little editing on the side. I am currently working on a Young Adult novel. One of my poems - "Winter" - won an award at the 2010 Philadelphia Writers Conference, and you can find my fantasy short story "A Rock Is a Rock Is a Rock ... Or Is It?" in the anthology Tales of Fortannis: A Bard's Eye View, which is available in print and Kindle format from Amazon and as an e-book from Double Dragon Press.

  1. a lunacy of beauty courtesy of the night time sun and the day time moon as refracted through the discerning prism of you own special vision. (excuse the poetry, but the photographs made me do it)

  2. I sooo need a new camera!!! Most of my pics have my kids in them, and I do want to post their pics.

    • I recently got a new one with 14x optical zoom. Sometimes I wish for more zoom, but I like a small, easy-to-carry camera. My new camera came with an impressive editing program. I’m really pleased with the results, though I didn’t use it for most of these pictures. I have more to post as soon as I can find the time!

  3. Excuse me, do not.
